IN-SYNCH

Connect Sage MAS 90 and MAS 200 to Your Website

IN-SYNCH

Allows you to connect Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 to a pre-existing website, no matter what Database Server it accesses. Using IN-SYNCH allows for full control and flexibility in designing, creating and customizing your corporate web site and store front.

IN-SYNCH becomes an “extension” to Sage MAS 90 ERP database, and it interacts with the database that drives the third-party software application (or website), and synchronizes the data shared between the two systems. IN-SYNCH allows Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 to become the management tool for maintaining the database, eliminating the need for double entry of data, while allowing the store front or front-end solution to continue to function if Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 should become unavailable. IN-SYNCH achieves this by queuing the transactions to be processed, and monitoring the queue to ensure error free transactions.

The built-in "watchdog" program continually watches for activity (i.e. new sales orders being entered on the website or via the third-party database) and automatically transfers them to the appropriate data file. This unique watchdog program allows IN-SYNCH to operate virtually "hands-free," with no user-intervention required.

The integration of the Sage MAS 90 ERP data is achieved through the use of Microsoft's Database Connectivity (ODBC). This allows for integration to any ODBC compliant third-party database, such as Microsoft SQL, MYSQL, MS Access; or software product such as ProCIM by Flextronics1.

IN-SYNCH is a product developed under full compliance with the Sage Software, Inc. Master Developers program. IN-SYNCH is written in ProvideX®, the same language as both Sage MAS 90 ERP and Sage MAS 200 ERP, and works as a data management tool for these two product lines.

Operating In-Synch

The IN-SYNCH module allows Sage MAS 90 ERP or Sage MAS 200 ERP to become the management tool for maintaining the database, eliminating the need for double entry of data, while allowing the store front or front-end solution to continue to function if Sage MAS 200 ERP should become unavailable. IN-SYNCH achieves this by queuing the transactions to be processed, and monitoring the queue to ensure error free transactions. The built-in “watchdog” program continually watches for activity (i.e. new sales orders being entered on the web site or via the third-party database) and automatically transfers them to the appropriate data file. This unique watchdog program allows IN-SYNCH to operate virtually “hands-free,” with no user-intervention required.

Features

Flexible And Open ODBC Compliant Architecture

IN-SYNCH is designed to offer a standard methodology used to integrate virtually any system that is ODBC compliant to Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 Order Processing process.

Updates Databases Automatically

IN-SYNCH will automatically update the appropriate database files when mapped files are changed on the Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 file system. Since IN-SYNCH runs "behind the scenes," the user does not have any additional steps to take in order to update the changes made to the integrated file system.

Web Site Integration

IN-SYNCH allows you to connect Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 to a pre-existing web site, no matter what Database Server it accesses. Using IN-SYNCH allows for full control and flexibility in designing, creating and customizing your corporate web site and store front.

Open Product Design

IN-SYNCH is the answer to a myriad of integration opportunities, in addition to the Internet, because of the open product design. Some other examples for the use of IN-SYNCH are as follows:

Intranet/Extranet entry of Sales Orders for Sales Force Automation

Integrate Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 with Customer Service applications
Interface Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 with legacy applications

Real Time Processing

IN-SYNCH offers real time processing of inbound sales orders and request for information to your Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 system. Likewise, the linked external databases are updated whenever the corresponding Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 data files are updated. Options are also provided for updating at specified intervals, or manual updates of selected files.

Scalable High Performance

Because IN-SYNCH replicates required data to the third-party database, the availability of the front-end application (i.e. time-entry module or e-commerce store front) is not dependent upon the state of the accounting system. Likewise, web servers under heavy load will not affect the performance of the accounting system.
